Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has indicated the Gunners are still striving to be active in the market before the transfer window closes on September 1.

“We will try to the end,” Arteta said after the win over Bournemouth. “The transfer window is tricky at the moment, we would like to do something else but let’s see what we can do.”

Udinese show interest in Bellerin

Nice agree Pepe loan

Nice have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe on a season-long loan.

The deal for the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international does not include an option for the Ligue 1 club to make the deal permanent.

Lage: No offer yet for Neto

Bruno Lage has claimed that Wolves are yet to receive a proposal for forward Pedro Neto amid reported interest from Arsenal.

The Times claimed the Gunners are interested in signing the 22-year-old, who is believed to be valued at over ?50m by his current employers.

Lage has insisted that Arsenal have not made an approach for the Portugal international.

“I have heard that but nothing has come to us,” Lage told reporters on Tuesday when asked about Neto being linked with a move to Arsenal.

“It’s normal now, with the good players that we have. Teams are looking for good players in the same way we are looking for (Goncalo) Guedes, Matheus (Nunes), (Nathan) Collins. No one told me anything about any proposal.”
