West Ham fans clashed with police in riot gear at Old Trafford after the 1-0 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday.
Some supporters jostled with police inside Old Trafford and were seen hurling verbal abuse at officers.
At least two fans also appeared to spit in the direction of police officers.
West Ham were given an allocation of 3,173 tickets for the Premier League fixture.
The Hammers are next in action in a fortnight, away at Kidderminster Harriers in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Sky Sports News has approached West Ham and Greater Manchester Police for comment and are awaiting further details.
Marcus Rashford was the hero for Manchester United as his stoppage-time goal saw them beat West Ham 1-0 and leap above the Hammers into fourth.
West Ham boss David Moyes said his side had made mistakes in the final moments of the game and paid a high price for them.
“It’s not easy when you lose a goal in the last second. It was certainly avoidable. We made a couple of poor decisions in the build-up to it,” he said, before defending his conservative approach to the game.
“I want to win. I’m not coming to these teams to let them beat me. I’m coming to challenge them. I can’t fault the players for their effort.
“But we just lacked little bits and did not do the correct things, how to see games out and we didn’t do that in the last minute.”
