Impressive scorers Wootz and Song Of The Clouds lock horns in an interesting Novice Stakes.

Debutant Journalism represents Wathnan with James Doyle in the plate for trainer Hamad Al Jehani. He comes here carrying a price tag of 270,000gns and will be a fascinating one to watch.

3.12 Windsor – Waldgeist’s half-sister Crown Of Crowns debuts

Waldgeist’s half-sister Crown Of Crowns is handed her first start by Willliam Haggas, with Tom Marquand in the saddle.

By Frankel out of Waldlerche, she boasts a superb pedigree. Through the dam, she is related to the superstar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and four-timer Group 1 winner.

Seacole is the most experienced here but needs to step forward after only beating one home on handicap debut last month.

George Boughey’s Queen Of Scotland made a pleasing start when runner-up at Goodwood at the end of August and should attract plenty of support, with top jockey Billy Loughnane in the plate.

Elsewhere on the card, Classic-winning rider Saffie Osborne takes three rides, the pick of which could be Hughie Morrison’s last-time-out winner Kiani King (1.42).

4.00 Sedgefield – William Yeats bids to defy 6lb rise

There is jumps action up at Sedgefield, where William Yeats headlines the penultimate race as he looks to defy a 6lb penalty.

Sam England’s runner won here over course and distance last month, beating the reopposing Aimeric.

Earlier on the card, Dan Skelton runs two in the Mares’ Maiden Hurdle (2.30), with brother Harry getting the ride on Tralee Girl. She went close a couple of time last season, ending her campaign with defeat in April at odds of 1-4.
